Maybe there could be a new section added under the General Info section of the main page.

Maybe call it [[Other Useful Info]]?

Then on that new page you could put links to new wiki articles that archive specific things off the old forums that think should be maintained on the wiki.

A wiki is a really open source kinda thing. I think as long as you aren't putting false info on the wiki or in conflict with somebody over specific content, you are free to expand in whatever direction you'd like.
